USE CASE INTRODUCTION
Find your Bluetooth tracker
You know your tracker is nearby, but you need help narrowing down where it is.
COMPATIBLE HEARING AIDS
Which hearing aids can be searched?
ObjectRadar is designed for hearing aids with Bluetooth connectivity that can be discovered by iOS.
Compatibility depends on the hearing aid model, its Bluetooth capabilities and the information made available to iOS.
An untested model does not mean that it is incompatible with ObjectRadar.
This list is not exhaustive and does not imply any partnership with the manufacturers or products listed.
User feedback about product compatibility is greatly appreciated and helps us keep this list up to date.

BEFORE YOU START
Check the Bluetooth connection
A few simple points will help you understand the search results.
Your hearing aid should already be associated with the iPhone you are using for the search. A hearing aid paired with another device may not be available to ObjectRadar.
To see your hearing aids in ObjectRadar, they must first be paired with your iPhone
Why does the paired iPhone matter?
The iPhone is the device that communicates with and discovers the hearing aid. This is different from a Bluetooth tracker that can be detected by nearby devices.
ObjectRadar uses the Bluetooth information available to iOS to identify and search for the hearing aid.
How does the signal help me find it?
As with Bluetooth trackers, the RSSI value can help you determine whether the signal is getting stronger or weaker as you move. It does not provide a reliable distance.
ASSOCIATION
Search for an object, not a number
ObjectRadar associates a detected hearing with an object you know.
You can associate each hearing aid (left and right) with a personnal object with a custum label
Why is this useful?
A detected hearing aid is not automatically associated with an object. You can associate it with the object you believe it belongs to. If the association is incorrect, you can assign the object to another hearing at any time — before continuing the search or after discovering that you found the wrong item. ObjectRadar automatically updates the association.

Add an association and see whether the current association is up to date
A paired hearing aid may keep the same Bluetooth UUID for a long period, but iOS may assign a different UUID in some situations.
Why can a hearing aid temporarily disappear from the scan?
If the UUID changes, ObjectRadar may detect the hearing aid as a new device. In this case, the object association may need to be created again manually. When the same device UUID is detected again, its existing object association is retained.
